1. What is Flippr?

Flippr is an online marketplace where you can buy and sell leftover home renovation products and materials. It’s designed for DIY enthusiasts, home renovators, and building contractors looking to find great deals and reduce waste.

2. How do I create an account?

Creating an account is easy! Simply click on the "Sign Up" button at the top right of the page, fill in your details, and you're ready to start buying or selling.

3. How do I list an item for sale?

To list an item, log in to your Flippr account, click on "Post a listing for free," and follow the prompts to add photos, a description, and a price for your item. It’s that simple! The more information you are able to complete the easier buyers will find your product when they are searching.

4. Are there any fees for listing or selling items

Listing items on Flippr is free. A small commission fee is charged only when your item sells. This fee covers GST costs as well as the 3rd party fees charged by our payment gateway partner, Stripe. For detailed information on our fees, please visit our Terms of Service page.

5. How do I search for items to buy?

You can search for items using the search bar at the top of the page or the ‘Shop Now’ button on the homepage to find what you need. Use the sidebar filters to narrow down your results by location, price, and more.

6. How do I contact a seller?

Once you find an item you’re interested in and wish to purchase, you can contact the seller directly from the payments page. There is a field at the bottom of the page that allows you to use Flippr’s messaging system to contact the seller – this is under the ‘Additional Information’ field. There, you can ask further questions or discuss and agree pick up details with the seller. Note: payment will be held by Flippr until you confirm that the items have been taken by you.

7. What payment methods are accepted?

We accept various payment methods, including credit and debit cards. All payments are securely processed through a secure payment gateway via our platform.

8. Why do I need to click the 'Pay Now' button before I have viewed the item and know that I am happy to make the purchase?

By clicking 'Pay now' you are securing the item for yourself so that no one else can purchase it. Flippr will hold these funds but will not pass these funds on to the seller until you have notified us that you have received the items. Once you have confirmed that this has happened we will release the funds to the seller.

9. What happens if I go to pick up an item and decide not to continue with making the purchase due to it not being as described?

Payment will not be taken from your chosen payment method until you confirm that the item has been collected. If you decide not to continue with the purchase you must reach out to us at info@flippr.com.au and we will reverse the payment. If, however, we find that a purchase was made for cash outside of the Flippr platform, you may be liable to pay a final value fee applicable to that item and will be removed from using the site in future.

10. How do I arrange pick-up?

Pick-up arrangements are made directly between the buyer and seller. During the payment process there is a field at the bottom of the page that allows you to use Flippr’s messaging system to contact the seller – this is under the ‘Additional Information’ field. There, you can discuss and agree pick up details with the seller.

11. Can my item be shipped or does it have to be picked up?

You may enquire with the seller if they are happy to arrange shipping for you. This would not be arranged through the Flippr website but directly with the seller themselves. The seller may also charge the buyer for any additional shipping costs.

12. Can I return an item?

Returns are handled on a case-by-case basis and depend on the seller’s return policy. We encourage buyers to thoroughly review listings and ask any questions before making a purchase.

13. How can I ensure a safe transaction?

Flippr provides secure payment processing to protect both buyers and sellers. Additionally, we recommend meeting in safe, public locations for exchanges and communicating clearly through our platform.

14. How do I leave feedback for a buyer or seller?

After a transaction is complete, you can leave feedback by visiting the order details page and selecting "Leave Feedback." Your reviews help other users make informed decisions.

15. What should I do if I encounter a problem with a transaction?
